Don't let the fact that the Gorillaz are rather popular deter you from this great album. The 'virtual band' is composed of the cartoon characters 2D, Noodle, Russel, and Mordoc. With that said, it is difficult do define this album. It switches genres in a heart beat, but seems to stay close to the hip-hop like funk that is prevalent on this CD. Songs like 'Punk' and 'Slow Country' are very different musically, but still have the musical signature of the Gorillaz. Definitely an album to download if you are a fan of hip-hop, alt rock, or just good music. NOTE: this is, unfortunately, the 'clean' version of this album. Fortunately, there are only a few blank spots on this album due to it. You wont be missing a whole lot.
