Thine Eyes Bleed - In The Wake Of Seperation

Thine Eyes Bleed is a death/thrash metal band whose vocalist sounds like he is on the brink of insanity. His screams and growls make the album what it is, characterizing this harsh, wild album. The bassist, Johnny Araya, you may know from the band Bloodcum (but you probably don't). His intense bass mixed with the thrashing speed guitars and masterful drumwork of Darryl Stephens make this a band to check out if you like bands such as As I Lay Dying. A good download for fans of hard rock or metal.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works

Some of you may be familiar with Dillinger, and to others it may be new. In their newest album, Dillinger Escape Plan continues to make amazing mathcore metal, but also mellows out a bit. Some songs, like Party Smasher, are old school Dillinger, with screaming and thrashing metal. Black Bubblegum is a song that shows a more mellow (but still rocking out) kind of The Dillinger Escape Plan, where it sounds like normal rock. Most of the songs on this album are pretty short, but don't let that perturb you. It's definitely a good album.

Front Line Assembly - FLAvour of the Weak

You know, this is probably my favorite FLA album ever. Firstly, you have the very punny album name. FLAvour of the Weak? Just look at it for a second. It's funny. Secondly, I know you here me use the words 'complex' and 'engaging' a lot, but for serious, this album is both of those things. The sounds gradually build up until they reach a kind of euphoric frenzy, multiple unique sounds layered in order to create a sound like no other. This is the turning point in FLA's career, where they went from more rockish and metallic sounds to an almost all-electronic sound. Very different from the Artificial Soldier album, this album isn't really aimed at the dance clubs. Enjoy. I know I do.

I:Scintilla - Optics

I:Scintilla is an absolutely amazing band I stumbled across one day searching for electronic music. The blend of rock and electronic is perfect, and the lead singer, Brittany Bindrim, is absolutely amazing. Her voice hits every note, and is at times so sublime it will send shivers down your spine. Bands suck as Leather Strip and Combichrist have singled the band out for remixes of their own, showing the great appeal of this band. Music that can satisfy both the clubs and those looking for a complex, engaging listen.

Jedi Mind Tricks - Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell

I would like to apologize for not uploading anything in a while. Now, I offer you rap fans this album by Jedi Mind Tricks. Most hardcore rap followers already know of Jedi Mind Tricks, and those who don't should definitely give this album a download. Vinnie Paz's amazing rhythm and DJ Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind's masterful crafting of beats and hooks creates an amazing listen for fans of all good rap. On almost all the tracks, one can experience the storytelling ability of Vinnie and the stark imagery his words create. Highly recommended.

12 Stones - Anthem For The Underdog

To appease the cries for Modern/Alternative Rock, I put forth this 12 Stones album for consideration. Perhaps only known from one song they did with Evanescence, 12 Stones manages to take a ridiculously horrid genre, nu-metal in this case, and make it listenable. Although it is not my favorite album, it is still a good one, and should appeal to fans of most rock bands.

Pride and Fall - Nephesh

Pride and Fall is one of the leading creators of the futurepop genre, along with the likes of Assemblage 23 and VNV Nation. Weaving soaring synths and complex basslines together, Pride and Fall can be described as a master of their genre, creating both dancefloor anthems and more regular, relaxed songs. The song 'December' seems to stick out as a song to represent the album, providing the synths and bass required for a dancefloor track and the complexity of a sit-down-and-listen track. Definitely recommended.

H-Foundation - Environments

H-Foundation is kind of like a more laid back version of Daft Punk. Their clever little combination of down tempo electronic and jazz elements creates a nice little sound. If loud music is just not called for, go to Environments. Masterfully crafted, the music here will provide very nice music to just listen to. The lyrics are sparse and often more stream-of-consciousness than anything else. A relaxing listen.

Meshuggah - ObZen

Meshuggah has always had an infamous reputation for playing music that, in short, mixes it up... To say the least. The time signatures will fuck with your head, and the amazing guitar and drum work is always being switched up, but never to the point of excessiveness. It will be difficult to bang your head to this music unless you know every conceivable inch of this album due to the fact that you can't predict what will come next. A most engaging listen. Truly worth the download.

Motley Crue - 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection

Here is the first of my 20th Century Masters albums, I have Quite a few. They do quite a good job putting together greatest hits albums, and have an extensive collection. For those not familiar with the Crüe, they're another badass, rambunctious 80's metal band. I wish I could post the entire liner notes for this album - they are a work of art in themselves. At one point, they say: "Yes, there were contenders to their throne, bad boy musicians, drinking too much, driving to fast, and generally leaving a petrol trail in their wake, but there was no one - make that no one - disrupting the class quite as consistently as the Crüe, you name it, they'd not only done it (at least once), but drunk it, snorted it, slept with it and come back to wipe their dicks on the T-shirt." ...........fuck yeah.....that sums it up.
